The Dignity in the Workplace CODE OF BEHAVIOUR is a robust standard for how allegations of harmful behaviour should be dealt with throughout the arts and creative sectors. It was developed in collaboration with Safe to Create so all those working in the arts can be clear as to their rights and obligations regarding respect and dignity at work. We are proud to be signatories to the Code and publicly declare our commitment to its implementation.

We aim to embed this industry-wide Code of Behaviour in the sector to:

• proactively encourage a ‘zero tolerance’ attitude towards harmful behaviour;
• adopt a collective responsibility on the part of ALL workers to call out harmful behaviour and to support those being subjected to it;
• have a robust standard throughout the industry for how allegations of harmful behaviour should be dealt with promptly, thoroughly and fairly; and,
• recognise that smaller production entities do not have the human and financial resources of larger companies. It follows that smaller production entities will require resources and training to enable a standard code of behaviour to be implemented.
